Scholarships
All of the residential Colleges at the University of Melbourne are able to provide some form of financial assistance to students. Many scholarships have been made available thanks to the generous support of private benefactors and philanthropic bodies, and they vary considerably in their terms and their conditions. Scholarships are often made available to students who have achieved academic excellence in the year before they enter a College, and in many cases there are also scholarships available for students who continue to achieve excellence while at University. Many Colleges also provide financial assistance in the form of bursaries to students whose financial situation may prevent them from being able to stay at the College.
