Come visit the colleges on the University of Melbourne Open Day, Sunday August 17th!
On Sunday 17th August, all colleges will be open for tours as part of the University’s Open Day. Many colleges will be open from 9am-5pm, to ensure you have time to visit as many colleges as possible. Visiting the residential colleges is the perfect way to view the facilities, experience the community, try the food, and talk to current students about their college experience. Take the opportunity to see as many different colleges as you possibly can, as this is the best way to see exactly what living at college can offer. Each college will have different activities on during the day to give you the full overview of what college life can be like. There will be students in their college colours around campus handing out maps of the colleges and answering any questions you may have about college life. See if you can spot the college mascots!
Take a tour
You are welcome to talk a stroll to any of our eleven colleges, all of which are within ten-fifteen minutes from campus. Or you can take advantage of our convenient shuttle buses, which will be running all day and stopping at International House and Whitley College. These will be leaving from the driveway in front of the Grainger Museum, along Royal Parade.
Visit our stand
The colleges marquee is open from 10am-4pm on South Lawn – come visit us to pick up a 2015 prospectus, and speak to current students about their experiences at college. Plus, a representative from the Intercollegiate Office will be at the stand to answer any tricky questions and give you advice on applications. You will find the stand on South Lawn near the Student Experience marquee.
Plan your Open Day
You can plan your Open Day itinerary by registering online through the university’s website. You can include college tours and a visit to our stand as part of your schedule. We are listed under the “Student Experience” menu when planning your itinerary.
